Identifies and uses resources wisely: Identifies key individuals who need to be involved; makes effective use of team and individual capabilities. Monitors task progress against performance expectations to ensure deadlines are met; communicates outcomes to supervisor. Reschedules and reorganises work to reflect changes in priority. When it comes to achieving results I have a strong belief in my ability, and the track record to back it up. One of the sternest tests of my ability to achieve results came when I worked on a project at HP this was post split the company had been split into the hardware group selling laptops and printers and the software group HP inc HP inc had in the integrated company managed the local data centre, financial and operation reporting - now they had gone and were no longer in a position to provide that leaving the HP hardware unit without effective local reports Data was still available from the main servers in Houston but only to restricted personnnel I was asked by the local GM to take on the task of replacing much of the previous reporting I knew that I would only be successful if I had a clear plan from the start. To this end, I talked to all the local managers to assess their priorities and asked for their professional advice on how best to deal with them. On the basis of their advice I began to draw up a plan to deliver at least workable reporting and bring them up to speed with temporary systems as quickly as possible . Then planning to replace the temporary with best practice reporting based on a new local data centre Another thing that I did was to commit myself to a high-quality outcome by telling colleagues, friends and my partner about the challenge I was to have delivering this two part solution I did this to increase my personal stake in the challenge and thereby increase my motivation to do my very best. I have found this to be a highly effective way of ensuring that I see projects through to completion. Getting this project done wasn’t without hiccups along the way, and inevitably I had to respond and be flexible to change. However, my results speak for themselves: we got a basic system up and then worked on a massive improvement to restorer the effective reporting they had lost
